PUBLIC NOTICE - ADVANCE IN-PERSON EARLY VOTING

ADVANCE - IN - PERSON EARLY VOTING FOR GREENSBORO & UNION POINT MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS WILL BE HELD AS FOLLOWS:

Tuesday, October 12th – Saturday, October 16th

Monday, October 18th – Saturday, October 23rd

Monday, October 25th – Friday, October 29th

**NOTE: Poll will not be open on Monday, October 11th due to the Columbus Day holiday.

Absentee Ballots

First day that Absentee Ballots by mail will be mailed out is October 12th and the deadline for our office to receive an application for a ballot is Friday, October 22nd.

Election Day 

Tuesday, November 2nd and the polls in Union Point and Greensboro will be open from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm. Municipal voters must report to their assigned poll on Election Day.

Municipalities with Upcoming Elections

Only 2 municipalities (Greensboro and Union Point) will hold an election on November 2, 2021.

The municipal elections for White Plains, Siloam and Woodville have been canceled as they qualified some one for each available position without opposition.

CALL FOR MUNICIPAL ELECTION FOR THE CITY OF GREENSBORO

Notice is hereby given, that a General Election for the City of Greensboro, Georgia will be held on November 2, 2021 for the offices of Mayor and City Council Members.

The last day for municipal residents to register to vote will be October 4, 2021.

The first day of Early Voting in Person will be Tuesday, October 12th during the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Early Voting will be conducted at the Greene County Board of Elections voting room located at 1180 C. Weldon Smith Drive.  There will be two Saturdays of Early Voting in Person: October 16th and October 23rd and the poll will be open on those days from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.

The earliest day that an Absentee by Mail ballot may be mailed will be October 12th and the last day upon which an application for a ballot by mail may be received will be Friday, October 22nd.

Election Day will be Tuesday, November 2nd and the Greensboro Poll will be open from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm @ 1180 C. Weldon Smith Drive in Greensboro.

If a runoff election is needed, that date will be Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
