The Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants for the Planning and Zoning Commission for the seat designated as a District 2 Representative

How Long are Appointments?

The appointment will be to fill an un-expired term ending on December 31, 2024.

What's the Purpose of the Planning and Zoning Board?

The Planning and Zoning Commission evaluates zoning matters including rezoning requests, conditional use, and variance requests. The Commission holds public hearings on these matters and makes recommendations to the Board of Commissioners. 

When and Where to They Meet?

The Planning and Zoning Commission meets on the last Tuesday of each month at 4 pm in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room located at 1034 Silver Drive in Greensboro.  

Who Can Apply?

Residents from District 2 interested in serving on the Planning and Zoning Commission should complete a Candidate Questionnaire.  Applicants ideally would have some relevant background, involvement, or education in zoning matters, while also being truly interested in the welfare of Greene County and its residents, sensitive to the long-term and immediate impact of their decisions and be willing to devote the time and energy necessary to fulfill their responsibilities.
